"Let me establish my credentials to write a review of Gavin Aubrey’s work, Which Way Do You Eat Your Banana? Over the past 25 years, I’ve read books and listened to tapes featuring the world’s most influential motivational speakers. Zig Ziglar, Deepak Chopra, Stephen Covey and dozens of others … the nobility of positive thinking has parented me and the way I approach life. Hell, I even walked across hot coals at a Tony Robbins weekend. I have to say that Gavin’s book holds its own in the hallowed world of positive thinking authors. In some respects – personality, humour, empathy – he may excel above the more established. Has Gavin created all these powerful thoughts? It doesn’t matter. Several of Mr Robbin’s observations date back to Plato. Sure, Gavin does offer some nuggets that could be original flashes of inspiration. I believe that Gavin’s particular strength, however, is his ability to make accessible to us ordinary folk, in an incredibly engaging way, years of his own exposure to the motivational gurus. This book is invaluable to business professionals. That being said, unless you live in a cave, and deprive yourself of all interaction with any other humans, you will learn loads from Gavin’s book. Plus you’ll enjoy the process. Invest in yourself. Invest a few pounds to get you strolling through life. Buy Which Way Do You Eat Your Banana? You’ll be exposed to icebergs, man-eating animals, bananas, And you’ll enjoy the process."
